About Us

EBS Health is a licensed insurance brokerage operating in all 50 states, working with employers to design preventive care-focused benefits strategies that are built to last.

We take a comprehensive approach to benefits — aligning preventive care, cost efficiency, and supplemental protection within a single, structured framework. By leveraging technology and thoughtful plan design, we help employers support their workforce while improving the long-term performance and sustainability of their benefits offering.

Our Programs

Our preventive care program is designed to deliver meaningful access to care while creating measurable efficiency within an employer’s benefits structure.

Rather than layering disconnected services, the program brings preventive care, medical access, and supplemental protection together in a coordinated framework — resulting in a simpler employee experience and a smarter, more sustainable approach for employers.

FAQ'S

Got questions? We’ve got solutions.

The program is funded through pre-tax payroll deductions from employees, with reimbursements issued from the employer's account. EBS Health administers the entire process — from setting up payroll codes that track deductions and reimbursements, to managing the benefit offerings themselves. Our system ensures everything runs seamlessly and remains fully compliant.

Yes. After-tax savings can be used to provide employees with supplemental insurance benefits such as life insurance, accident coverage, and critical illness protection. The key advantage lies in how payouts are taxed: when these policies are paid with pre-tax dollars, any benefits received above the amount paid into the policy are taxable. When paid with post-tax dollars, the payouts — such as a life insurance lump sum — are generally tax-free. This means employees and their families receive the full financial benefit without additional tax liability.

To participate, employees must be W-2 employees who work at least 30 hours per week with consistent hours or pay, and who already maintain existing health insurance coverage. Employees enrolled in Medicaid or marketplace plans (such as Obamacare) are not eligible.

The program uses provisions of the tax code to create savings that fund additional benefits. Through Section 125, employees make a pre-tax contribution for a preventive care platform. Because this expense supports the employee's health, Section 105 allows the employer to provide a tax-free reimbursement. This structure reduces tax liability for both the employer and the employee. With the savings generated, we provide guaranteed-issue supplemental insurance policies, giving employees extra protection at no net cost.

Absolutely. EBS Health takes compliance and security seriously. We are fully HIPAA, ERISA, and Department of Labor compliant, ensuring every aspect of the program meets strict federal standards. All employee and employer information is encrypted, stored securely, and managed with the highest level of confidentiality. You can trust that both your data and your finances are fully protected.

No. All of our supplemental policies are guaranteed issue, which means every eligible employee qualifies with no health questionnaires, no medical exams, and no blood tests required.

On average, the program generates savings of about $90 per employee each month for the employer and about $200 per employee each month for the employee. From those savings, EBS Health charges a per-employee, per-month (PEPM) fee of $40 to the employer and $86 to the employee. Because these fees are taken directly from the savings produced, the program operates at no net cost. After accounting for these fees, employers still average $633 in net savings per employee per year. Employees, in turn, gain valuable supplemental insurance benefits, access to a preventive care platform with concierge-style medical care, and in some cases, may even see leftover savings flow back into their paychecks.

No. The program does not replace health insurance. To participate, employees must already have health insurance coverage in place. If an employee does not, EBS Health will add a Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) plan to their benefits package so they can still qualify and take advantage of the program.
